Just mist it with water and use perm rods or pink sponge rollers. If you do a search you may find a lot of ideas on curling. But I've found that the rollers work well.

After curling it on the rollers, just leave it to air-dry--to take the curls out when you want to re-style, just mist with water again.

Would you reccomend the AG doll curlers or actual ones? Does anyone have an album?

Thanks again for the help!

You all have better luck than I do! I can't get doll hair to curl, unless the doll is supposed to have curly hair (then just misting with water works). Even leaving a doll in curlers for months was disappointing . . . when I took them down, her hair was still straight as a pin. It reminded me of Changes for Molly.

There are a couple ways to permanently curl doll hair:

1) Put the hair in curlers, then expose to steam or hot water (not boiling or super hot!). Although this works, it can damage doll wig fibers and doll manufacturers would not recommend exposing the Kanekalon to heat. There's no way to get it out without exposing the wig fibers to heat again, which means more possible damage.

2) Purchase a doll wig, and swap the hair.

I've done both and was only happy with the second method. The first one resulted in nice curls, but I didn't do the best job at it and it did seem to ruin the wig a bit.

I no longer have the doll that I "permed" the hair of, but there is a photo online here
http://www.angelfire.com/mi/FAST/makeovers.html at the very bottom of the page (the before picture). I felt that it damaged her hair, so I replaced it with a wig!
